So that's it. Coperforma is stripped of their contract and it is given back to the NHS.
How much anguish did patients have to go through and how much public money was wasted through this farce?
When will we learn that privatised public services do not work?!

And then there's Southern Rail... And Southern Water who've made a colossal mess of the pavements in a historic town putting in metres and then tripling everyone's water costs. I've heard that single occupiers have had their costs merely doubled.

Absolutely true Mark. Southern Water are in my experience an inept monstrous company. There's a free open meeting organised by Lewes Labour on Southern Rail happening on Nov 7 at the Phoenix Centre with what looks like good speakers.
The train users suffering from the govt antics of Southern Rail are too involved in trying to salvage their family lives and their jobs to kick up much of a fuss. We need to do it on their behalf. I respect the fact that by and large the punters continue to blame the rail company rather than their employees
who are merely pawns in the game.

It's all about competition apparently... competition every 8 years or so in a closed room in Whitehall.. or the competition of a private monopoly for water!

If you need someone to do some work or provide a service, you should ask around and get feedback from others who have used services. Get someone in with a good track record (no pun intended) to provide your needs.
Price may be a factor; but the cheapest may not work out best. Govia and Coperforma seem to be in the same league as well-known builders Bodgit and Leggit.

And SECAMB were doing it just fine... just another dogmatic political choice. Like selling Directely Operated Railways back into private hands.

SECamb weren't doing fine and didn't want to provide the service anymore - probably why it's now gone to a different ambulance and not back to them!! Coperforma may have been bad but they were better than SECamb
