Cliffe on a sunny Sunday

Just spent some enjoyable time walking round the Cliffe area. Went into Stead & Simpson, the wife had spotted a pair of all leather shoes on offer at a reduced price with a further £5 off for the day. I don't need any shoes but she did the classic impulse buy.

Went on the Bill's to sit and watch the world go by. Couldn't help but wonder if any fellow forum posters were about, may have been sat next to one of you. Bill's was a little spoiled by the amount of wasps flying about, they didn't seem to be attracted to the food or drink, more by the ornamental trees (are they bay trees?) which I doubt they can do anything about (the wasps that is).

We were down at Baster's field watching a couple of seagulls trying to teach one of their young ones to be independent. I never ceased to be amazed at how much fun there is in doing precisely nothing.

Cliffe was buzzing this afternoon - didn't spot you JR - obviously you look for more normal than I'd pictured you!

Everywhere is buzzing. Wasps are having a bumper time just now. Today I quickly got some bait from Percy's and then left for a river and peaceful countryside as soon as I could. Occassionally Lewes reminds me of why I left Brighton.

Old Cynic - Surprised you didn't notice me. Face resembling David Beckham (with grey hair), upper body a touch of the Arnie Schwarzenegger's with the legs and feet of Georgy Best, but I am a Pisces and we do like dreaming.

Oh, so that was you! I was the youngish chap sitting across the way from you -a cross between Brad Pitt and Jonnie Depp! The missus was with me - a scouse Angelina Jolie!!

So that's why you get touchy about scousers, Old cynic ! (I'm married to one too, so I know all the jokes...)
