Anyone know what time Cliffes last procession is due to go this year? I have a programme but each year I turn up at the said time and it never seems to go on time. I do wish the societies would keep to the times in their programmes so us public can enjoy the night too.

I am sure they do their best, but like everything sometimes things dont go to plan. so maybe a little patience is needed now and again.

All Societies try their upmost to be on time, however, logistics of moving 7 Societies around the town sometimes causes delays - especially when the crowds fill the High Street and don't leave the procession routes clear. If the spectators want a "nicer" evening, pick your spot and stay there on the PAVEMENT! Stop moving about and filling the roads every time a procession passes as it slows the next Society who has to get through a crowd thus causing a knock on effect to every other Society throughout the evening. A 10 minute delay at the beginning of the evening can end up an hour by the end. So yes a little patience please.
