I dislike the yummy yummy, very very greasy chicken balls. A very poor tasting sweet and sour sauce.
I don''t tend to knock places however their chinese isnt very good, was disappointed when we lost the one by the station opposite the chemist

Yummy yummy is better than the other ones further in town. They really are greasy! I recommend a ruby from Spice Merchant

Fortune Valley gives the best value for money in terms of quantity, and they are open at 4pm. The quality is good apart from the sweet and sour balls which contain too much batter.
We have tried Yummy Yummy, but most dishes are very spicy.
The Beijing is the only one open lunchtime (although the Panda Garden is now advertising Tues-Fri lunch)
I have not returned to Carnival since finding rubbery reformed chicken in the sweet and sour balls.

I've only had one meal from there since it become a Chinese takeaway and, others have mentioned, it was okay.
I am a big fan of the Panda Garden. I go in there a lot, they do takeaways and they also deliver (free if over £20) if you live in Lewes. We've never had a bad meal from there and they've always been very friendly and welcoming.
