I'm involved in arranging too many other things to take on Carnival as well.
I hope you can make use of my ideas though.

It was a very good list. If enough people could be roped in to arrange it there are not many reason's why it should not be possible to arrange a great carnival. There are other shows in Sussex that include a number of the items on 'Dave's' list.

I think Daves list was brilliant & really hope someone will take up the ideas for any future Lewes Carnivals, Im sure even Lewisians who have lost faith will once again turn out to support proper efforts. Lots of the simple ideas work very well for other events in & around Lewes, an annual carnival should be such a brilliant opportunity for this town & local businesses. I still cant understand why the organisers of Lewes Carnival have not given a legitimate reason for the sham this year, of course its hard work to organise these things & rally support but there was precious little effort put into that this year - maybe if they acknowledged their mistakes instead of blaming everyone else people will believe things will be improved upon next time
