I am looking to arrange some care for my very elderly mother a couple of times a week; just help with showering etc. She is based in South Chailey and I have looked at a number of providers on the internet but it is difficult to know who is good and who is not so good. Does anyone have any experience of care providers or suggestions please?

Check Support with Confidence. They're vetted and references checked. Social services will also provide a free detailed assessment and will make sure the care provided is appropriate. They may well be able to contribute towards the costs but you won't be forced into anything your mum's not totally happy with. I'd start there.

Hello there, yes I agree Support with confidence is a good one as the people on there are vetted and are DBS checked. Sun Rose care in Lewes is also good, small independent company offering Bespoke care and they don't charge extortionate fees like large care agencies.
