Astonished that the Lewes LibDem leaflet on Europe is printed in the Netherlands ! I know they are pro Europe but that can't make sense from an environmental level can it - flying the leaflets over etc? Why not use a local printer anyway - help the local economy - odd even if you support the EU.

I would have given them some used toilet paper,if I had known and saved them the trouble and the expense.

You know don't you Paul that 'the firm which printed the Government’s leaflet (telling us to stay in the EU) is owned by a German company given repeated hand-outs by the European Commission'?

That's why all printers in UK are slowly going bust as British business and the British Government would rather support anyone but our own.
Williams Lea used to be a big financial printer but now there into print management.
This means that they have the contract and punt it round the market screwing the actual production printer to the wall on the lowest possaable margins while they cream the profit. This happens on all sorts of publications maybe even Vauxhall Lewes. How the Netherlands can print it cheaper than in the UK I very much doubt. Perhaps this government couldn't give a dam if our money ends up in the tax coffers of another country.
