Can't change thread subject line any more?

It seems impossible to change the subject line of thread now. Is this by design or is it a bug? If by design it's a shame as it used to be quite handy to correct the subject of a thread to reflect how the discussion had changed.

You can change the subject but it doesn't get accepted by the submittal form.
And then this happened:

The forum item selection behaviour has changed recently. Before, if I clicked on the nth entry in the thread, it would open at that point. Now it opens at the start.

Works as it used to for me in Chrome.

Thanks Deelite 2 (how do you differ from the Mk 1 original?). I normally use iOS Chrome. On Windows it works as before. Curious.

My version of Chrome (the latest version on a Mac running Mountain Lion) has now gone back to taking you back to the post you've clicked on, rather than the top of the thread, so Webbo's clearly been busy. (Plus he's changed the login panel from yellow to blue; very nice). I haven't tried it on my iPad/iPhone so can't comment on iOS Chrome.

Since I registered 'Deelite' with the new login facility I can't seem to use Deelite as my name... so until it's fixed 'Deelite 2' will have to do

Webbo, and while you're at it why is it not possible on some threads to mark thumbs up or down? eg 'How we would love it be' thread.
