Who is responsible for the bus station, the amount of litter strewn across the place in the last few has been disgusting.

It doesn't help that the new bins don't have lids or coverings - I think the seagulls fish things out and scatter stuff everywhere

About time the whole lot was demolished (church excepted) and replaced with something decent

I love the bus station and its 50s/60s design. It could do with some TLC, but no need to get rid of it.
The litter problem is the seagulls - they rip open the bin bags left in the bins - even the covered ones, down the Cliffe most mornings.

The site is owned by Martin Elliott. He hoped to redevelop it but then discovered the Local Plan (now LDF) required a replacement bus facility - so it has been gently decaying ever since. I agree with Belladonna, the bus station itself is a real asset and could be the great centerpiece of a development there. This probably won't happen until the Waitrose redevelopment - if ever.

The litter problem is caused by those who leave the litter. The site owners should not have to clean up.
