I think generalyl though you have a better relationship with your boss the smaller teh organisation you're working in. Ours is a small office anyway and it's only really me and him that work on his clients whereas one would imagine that in a huge place with a load of largely faceless (And sometimes easily replaceable) staff, the boss would treat everyone much more like an asset to be utilised than a person.

I'm not implying you have a crap job by the way, just saying that if someone worked at Tesco they'd get worse treatment than if they worked for just one person in a highly specialised business.
