Disagree, it was Waterloo who were the best, both in terms of time and quality. Their aerials were very special not matched by the others.

Commercial was fantastic... However Borough did an equal if not slightly better display then went on for longer

I couldn't see Southover but saw all of the others. I thought that they were all excellent. Watching Commercial and Waterloo going up at the same time made a fantastic display when you were watching from a distance. Well done everybody!

What happened with Southover's display?
Normally you can see them from the Borough firesite but nothing was launched from that direction between 9:30pm and Midnight. Have they changed the location or do they not do aerials?

Southover had Ariel 'curious' but as you might know your society didn't want Southover to march till Borough were on the fire site, which then delayed Southover arriving on their fire site and not firing till late

At no point did I say I was associated with Borough "In the know".
Perhaps your name isn't as it suggests. Prat.

It's impossible to judge a firework display from anywhere other than up close and personal, where you can feel the power and understand the timing and pace.
Also, firework displays are about more than aerials - the effigies and tabs are crucial parts of a balanced firesite display.

Had a jolly good view of all of them, and I watch them all every year. Waterloo and Commercial Square were the pick as usual. Not quite as good as last year, but nicely paced and watching them both together was a treat. South Street put up a good show. Borough were really very dull, as ever. I don't know what's up with them - it seems like they have a brief to set off their fireworks one by one, taking as long as possible - and there are lots! At least they have a nice big fire to keep them warm while they struggle to find yet another box of matches...
