Not quite sure whether it's an official rule, but the larger societies could obviously put out a fairly decent members-only side of 20 year olds who'd have youth & pace etc. But I think that would be frowned upon, and that the done thing is to have at least a few old lags / Captains and other ranks wheezing their way up and down the pitch.
