My old man WAS a dustman, and he never ran out of fags or booze. Or the same old boring joke. He always told us the job was 'rubbish'. Ha ha bloody ha. We had to laugh or we'd get a backhander, and get sent to bed early with no tea.

Are they still Council public-sector employees, eligible for subsidised public-sector pension schemes, and public sectr-typ generous holiday allowances, or are they all now employed by penny-pinching capitalist private companies run by draconian "fat cats" squeezing every last penny of profit out of their underpaid and overworked employees, and thus subject to less generous remuneration packages?
