Big beards are bad enough , but worn in combination with a pork pie hat, tats and skinny jeans ! Jesus I think I prefer a flat cap.

A well trimmed short beard can look good. A bushy beard "Duck Dynasty" is a big turn-off. They simply seem to say "Look, I am a Man. I can grow this." And a woman might reply "I am amazed you would want to."

Research has shown that bushy beards contain traces of...poo. Google it if you don't believe me. I don't know how or why, but it's certainly put me off growing one.

I'm gonna grow a beard because everybody else has. I'm gonna buy a tartan shirt just like everyone else. I'm gonna get a bike with no brakes or gears. Wow, I'm so original, individual and cool. I can stand in a pub full of identical clones like me and guess what, I have no idea how stupid I look.

Earl by the way the debunked that story on 'trust me I'm a doctor' turns out shaven faces are actually dirtier and beards contain antibiotic microbes.
We wouldn't of evolved beards if they were unhealthy.

@Jim - What?! Beards are cleaner? I nearly choked on my craft beer. Actually, I don't have strong feelings about beards, but like Ben, I don't like the way so many people just copy each other. At least beards can be shaved off, but those daft tattoos will be harder to shift.

Yeh it was on the bbc a few weeks ago, they swabbed a few bearded and unbearded faces etc and beards came out 'cleaner' I guess it also comes down to the personal hygiene of people but thats true with everything.
I agree I think the tattoos look awful

To stand in front of a mirror wth a piece of sharpened steel and proceed to slice off hair that is perfectly natural is the hight of vanity. And to cop it all most people ( I wont say men ) then cover their nude face with aftershave which really is another name for perfume.

Jim is correct. Beards are more hygienic. Beard "dandruff" is dry skin and easily fixed the same way as hair dandruff because it's caused the same way, though beard oil helps too.
