Webbo, you have your beliefs as we all do, but that stringer above the forum goes into the realm of a totalitarian fascist dictatorship. People may object to your political bias but who cares, you have the power and you will exercise it. I have lost what little faith I had in your responsibility and call for your dismissal as a regulator on the basis of your inability to exercise control of your political bias.

Tom. So you are saying that webbo putting a statement that we have two choices at the election, Tories or Libdem, is the kind of statement you would get on the forum in a totalitarian fascist dictatorship?
Firstly, even Tories and the vast majority of people in the constituency would probably say that the statement was factually correct. If you disagree please explain which other party has got a realistic chance of beating the Tories.
Secondly, as a statement of fact, webbos statement is not politically biased. I accept that some may see an implied bias but he's not shouting it at you at the point of a gun.
Thirdly, from the fact that any number of outrageous political comments are not censored by webbo there is no evidence that he does exercise his political bias. Have you or anyone else ever had a comment censored on this site on any grounds but decency? This is a lot more than can be said about the Lewes Facebook site by the way.
Fourthly, totalitarian fascist dictatorship is a confusing tautology and I think you mean authoritarian state like North Korea appears to be. Do you really mean that it is the kind of line you would see in North Korea?
Please ignore hyena Tom. I would miss your moronic statements but just think about what you are saying a little more carefully, particularly if you are trying to get someone to lose their job.

I’m with Tom to a point, I think the forum itself should be impartial. I also find it perplexing that people are ignorant to how Lewes is a conservative majority when it has been since 1874 with the only interruption being a brief 13 year stint for Norman Baker. People are intelligent enough to work out who they need to vote for if they want to do so tactically, I like many don’t want the conservatives in power but as a reluctant Lib Dem voter, moves like yours put me off.

Or perhaps they've got really deep pockets and are happy to pay the fine?
Regardless, there aren't enough stupid people to vote for the Lib Dems. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

Fine if there are political threads, but there's no need to allow it to spread beyond where it's elective.
Go on, webbo, remove it and start your own thread instead.

Tom Pain is the indignant and sensitive type though, bouncing from one conspiracy to another. He's like the forums
version of Alex Jones (the infowars creep, not The One Show presenter). Just don't get him started on 5g.

Why would you suppose I'm a conservative webbo, between ourselves, I'd rather be a lib Dem...just. There is a recent controversy over the conservatives calling their website a fact check, when it is their own propaganda operation. I think this is a similar case. If this is webbo' s website it should be called that, not the Lewes forum. Anyway I appreciate your posting my criticism on your site and applaud your disinterestedness. I don't know about tautology Nev,is it the study of teaching? or perhaps meanness?

You're priceless nev, herewith follow answers or at least moronic statements to your questions. But first I must say that your keyboard-side manner leaves a little to be desired. Where I come from calling someone a moron is considered a touch on the impolite side, call me old fashioned but it doesn't seem conducive to civilised conversation. It must make it difficult to find servants to obey your peremptory commands as you routinely insult them. I'm guessing that Nevil Manor has a high staff turnover. About webbo's job; is it full time? Is it paid for from the public purse? Is he fulfilling the demands of the job description? Is providing propaganda for a political party a part of said description? Is he a member of your family or a close friend? Is he in fact, you? I shall await your reply on my desktop by 9.30 tomorrow morning and answer further questions if I am satisfied with your compliance. By the way, sit up straight when you're talking.

TomPain, you sound rather confused. This forum is the property of Webbo and he can do what he likes. You seem to take your opinions very seriously but I wonder if they are treated with great respect anywhere else? Do you find people beating a path to your door for your reaction to the latest developments in the news? If not then can't you see how odd you sound berating someone who is willing to put up with you?
It's just entertainment isn't it?

Tom. I notice that once again you ignore my comments and questions about whether webbo's statement can really be equated with something from an authoritarian regime. I agree with you that calling someone a moron is impolite. I accused you of making moronic statements. As it happens I think you are a moron and as I have been accused of being impolite already, now feel at liberty to say so. Moronic statements and ignoring the points made is also not conducive to civilised conversation.
The level of staff turnover at nevill manor is acceptable. There are no vacancies at present but if anything suitable for you comes up I will let you know.
I don't know what webbo's job description says but I would prefer him to have the job over you.
I do know you love a conspiracy theory so I will strenuously deny being webbo in the confident belief that this will confirm fully in your mind that I am him.

Webbo has no obligation to be politically impartial. He's not the BBC. Other forums are available if you can't handle a gentle reminder about tactical voting in one of the few marginal seats in Sussex.
I thought Tory voters were the ones who were supposed to have a thick skin and others were supposed to be the "snowflakes"? Or is that only when you're seeing things you want to see?

Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country..... If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it.". You are correct that asking a question does not make one a conspiracy theorist Tom. I base my assessment of you as a conspiracy theorist on numerous posts on here. I like your quote and in the current era of mass media, control of the media and corrupt politicians it is very pertinent. Unless you are suggesting that webbo's statement is an example of it, which it certainly is not, then again I don't see it's relevance to this post or an answer to my questions and comments.

As to your last point I can only repeat lines 1 to 3 of my last post. I got a reprint of Propaganda and it's worth a read although my copy had so many misprints it was awful. It's probably on line which would be a better bet and free. Cummings is the latest evil master mind and I think he's there to deflect some negative attention from Bozza; a new Campbell. Unfortunately I haven't seen any of Curtis' work.

Tom. As I do like to see this forum as a genuine exchange of ideas,I try to understand what point someone is trying to make and then react to it if I have a view on it. I spend a lot of time trying to understand your points and having re-read lines 1 to 3 on your penultimate post several times can find nothing there that in any way responds to my post.
Wikipedia defines a conspiracy theory as an explanation of a situation or events that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful people when a more simple explanation is available. I accept that this can at times be a subjective judgement and don't doubt you seriously think that I am the deluded one but I would put forward your views on climate change, the running of the economy, the political elite, the role of Brussels in our waste management as examples of your posts which spring to mind and suggest to me you are taken in by conspiracy theories.

Climate change - explain the medieval warm period and the 17 century mini Ice age with regard to anthropogenic activity. The economy- is it merely a theory that people conspire together to swindle money? If so I have a very good business proposition to offer you! It's no secret that waste management is controlled by the EU. There are political elites everywhere , that's no theory. If you liked the quotation and thought it pertinent what do you make of it? Control the masses without their knowing about it ? Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.
