I've always really like Litlington Tea Gardens, and there are some lovely walks round there.

Badgers in Alfriston - great value. Afternoon tea, sandwiches and cakes on a stand and a stroll down by the Cuckmere. Its a lovely little tea shop plus service with a smile.

Both Ditchling and Jevington have first-rate tea shops - the latter is quieter, but Ditchling has better parking.

Littlington tea rooms, and nice old fashioned plant nursery and 2 other small gift type shops. Also nice walks. And even if it's raining you can sit in little cosy sheds in the grounds.

There is a lovely tea garden in Glynde, just by the shop. But I also love Littlington.

Why has Country Boy's perfectly reasonable recommendation of Badgers in Alfriston got three thumbs down? If you don't agree, tell us why. ( Cue thumbs down).

Thanks for all the feedback. Went to Pooh Corner Tea Garden. Absolutely fantastic and beautiful walks in Ashdown Forest nearby. Lovely cream teas and good service. Pretty gardens as well.
