The road closure has been extended a long way out of town. The nearest place outside the closed zone is at a farm off the C7, the rural road that runs from Lewes to Newhaven.
If you arrive after 5pm, you'll have to access it by taking the A27/A26 to Newhaven, then head north up the C7, or lave the A27 by turning right at the roundabout where you'd normally turn left into Lewes and driving through Kingston.
However, if you can't get in there, the nearest would be to park somewhere in Kingston village.

A lot of Kingston, Ringmer and Cooksbridge will be coned to prevent dangerous and inconsiderate parking. Expect to walk at least 3 miles each way. And don't drink much booze if you are driving home later.
