Hi
Due to busy couple of months moving into new house, not been out playing much, so only just realising that I hadn't seen my Vega banjo since we went to a Lewes session at the Royal Oak way back on Tues 28th April.
Believe it was ‘temporarily’ put down in booth / seat (?) near exit door as leaving. Each of us then thought the other had taken it to our van.
The landlord says he would have heard, and recall if one handed in. So now I'm hoping that someone honest found it - and trying to find the owner (rather than an opportunist thief). If you heard of a found banjo, or of anyone trying to sell one, then any information much appreciated.
It's a vintage (c1923) Vega "Little Wonder" tenor banjo. In a black gig bag, with a small brass oval logo on the front pocket. Unfortunately, I’m failing to find my record of the serial no., which appears twice inside, both on the wooden truss bar and the inside of the rim. Its in very good original condition, except for having modern ‘planetary’ tuners fitted.
(see pic on the Facebook page link)
Thanks,
Graham
