I see those lovely people at BT have postponed the Infinity rollout for Southover back to 2014. It was due next weekend....
I find this a bit rich considering Lewes is often used for the BT adverts and Priory Crescent can clearly be seen in the 2012 ones:

Disappointing news but not surprising. BT have quite a record for reneging on activation dates. I've heard stories of engineers failing to turn up for the install on several consecutive occasions.
Strange how the top half of the town have FTTC but not the bottom.
All in all, bu99er.

Talk Talk do not have their own network - they resell connections they bulk buy from BT.
Unless BT get Cabinet 19 in Southover High Street enabled then there is no FTTC in Southover no matter which provider you turn to.

Correction, that should be Cabinet 16 not 19. Must be wearing my upsidedown specs again...

Dont go with Talk Talk we had a lot of trouble with them. I would recommend Plusnet. They are really helpful. Give them a try Buzz.

I second Kitty Cat. I have been with Plusnet for years and the only problem ever was my router going senile, which they correctly diagnosed at the very start. They're not the cheapest but not so you would notice.

I have had a lot of problems with my signal recently. No being particularly savvy with the way computers work I booked an engineer. I was with Talk Talk and the earliest they could arrange an engineer was 3 weeks ahead. I got my techie savvy friend up and he fixed it. Turns out it was a plug in the back of my router that was faulty. New lead, problem solved.
Thing is,when my signal completely disappeared a BT page came up when I logged on and I learned that you can buy internet access. I looked into the Lewes internet access ( Oyster is it?) Anyway they said they don't provide in the Neville.
So I ended up getting a days internet access from BT.
I rang BT as I had had enough of Talk Talk who are ok all the while there isn't a problem. I think a 3 week wait for an engineer is unacceptable. So I have now switched to BT as along with paying a bit extra I also get the free Wifi included. So if I ever have any more problems with my signal or router at least I can log onto the Wi fi....
PLEASE don't tell me I can do better on Plusnet or whatever... I have done it now !!

Plusnet have been owned by BT since 2007 but operated as a separate business.
The price difference is negligible.

Plusnet have cheaper deals than BT (I've just got one), but it's their service that really distinguishes them. Plusnet give a superb service. BT don't.
