BRILLIANT BUILDER

My wonderful Lewes builder Steve Holford, who has improved and beautified my home in many different ways over the years with his amazing range of skills, proved himself a total top of the range hero recently. I arrived home at 7pm to a major plumbing disaster and unable to get hold of my usual plumber (fantastic Roy Clay) rooted around in yellow pages for any emergency plumber. Despite advertising 24 hr cover could not find anyone covering Lewes that night. Called Steve in despair to ask for advice and he left his home and supper and raced round to my place in 5 mins, stopped the water, mended the problem and charged a tiny fraction of what others were quoting. He saved me money, massive anxiety and a giant hot water bill. I was weak at the knees with gratitude.

I hope you were not too weak at the knees to give him a reward.

Steve has done work at my house, too, and I found him very good. He alwasy leaves the place clean and tidy at the end of the day, as well.

He did some roofing me. Full team of workers on site at 8.00 & never away before 4.30. On site every day to the completion of the job. I would certainly recommend Steve.

We've got a great builder as well - it's funny how people who do something useful like this are paid peanuts compared to useless, er, bankers.
