Hi There,
As of 1st July I am officially appointed as the Manager at the BP in Malling Lewes. I have been covering for a few months prior, so I am up to speed with the area and concerns in store.
Whilst I appreciate the past, I am now focused on the future, and making it better for customers.
I will pop onto this forum now and then, but please come and see me in store if you have any concerns or comments. Direct with me is best, over and tea or coffee and I can then take it away and deal with it. Some issues will take longer than others to resolve, but I have every determination to turn it around and make it a better place to shop, and a better place to work.
Hope to speak to many of you in store, if I am not in, the team can let you know when I am next in.
Thank You
Dave Chapman
Manager - BP Malling

Thanks for taking the initiative Dave. As someone who used to be a retail manager myself, I think the most important thing you can do is make sure the staff react more promptly to queues. It really winds customers up if only one till is open, but there are other staff milling around. Keep the spare till on standby and don't let the staff watch the queue build up before slowly reacting. People just want to get in and out quickly, with the minimum fuss. I used to tell my staff that whatever job they were doing, nothing was more important than a queuing customer.

Get them to cheer up a bit. And get a razor wire fence with lights and dogs so people don't que for a coffee in the wrong place.

Looking forward to seeing improvements - its annoying to be told you cannot buy a coffee because they have run out of lids .

Get those bloody staff of yours to cheer up and be polite. There's at least two in there who are damn right rude. I'm surprised they are allowed to work there

Only ever use the car wash because I find the staff generally appaling. My only gripe is half the time the car wash is closed once I've gone in to pay.
Invest in a "Sorry the car wash is closed" sign and use it.

Some of your staff are fantastic. There are a few who need to learn how to smile and be polite. I find it very annoying when there is just one person on the tills and there is a queue. They press a bell but no one responds. The staff just stand around doing nothing. Sort it out.

Well I know that some of the staff need training on customer service. I have never heared working people be so rude to customers.
And they seem to not get to the bottom of this
And staff on wild bean never where correct head gear so lose hair round food.
Dave manager think you need to pick up on this and fast as your lose a lot customers
