While watching this bird being pestered by the seagulls over the Malling Brooks earlier, out of all that airspace i saw it get tangled with the kite string that was being flown, did it get away or not.

Hope this bird was being flown by somebody if it had bells on its foot.
I think there called jessies ( that's what Casper calls them).
I hope the bird is safe, nothing more beautiful than a bird of prey hovering.

I've seen a guy round town with a beautiful Harris hawk, I wonder if it's that one?
He flies it along the river and sometimes up on Landport Bottom. He uses a Brittany spaniel to flush rabbits for it.
It's a wonderful sight imo, I hope the bird is ok.

Has anyone seen the male deer living with the herd of cows? Lovely, unusual sight. Don't want to say where, it shouldn't get too used to humans. Hope it will be ok.

With bells on it's legs it may well be a member of the Commercial Square morris dancing troop ' The Black Powder'

TDA - re the deer, is it a male? Earlier in the year lots of us saw a young deer living with c.4 bullocks [secret place, as you say], but I thought it was female. Probably it's fine and happy with its 'herd', I hope, as you do.

Don't know Gill, looked like a juvenile male to me. But I'm no expert! I'll try to attach a pic in a bit.

To train young Falcons to hunt and fly high you attach a lure to a kite line as the falcon grabs the lure it breaks away and slides down the kite line , it's a way of getting your bird very fit quickly , they don't get tangled up
