Appeal to cat lovers

Hi all - we're new to Lewes and looking to reach as many kind-hearted people as possible with our appeal. Our 16-year-old long-haired tabby cat, Millie. went missing on Tuesday (July 28) night on The Avenue. She's not a wanderer by nature and is likely to be hungry, disorientated and distressed. Her colouring is brownish-grey with some gold highlights, dark brown tail, white chest and paws. Most importantly Millie has an eye condition that needs daily medication, without which the eye will ulcerate and cause her intense pain. If you see her or know her whereabouts please contact us through this forum, or 07957 655221, or even take her to the Cliffe veterinary clinic. Many many thanks.

If you're in the Avenue, you should check Baxter's Field. If nothing else, there's at least one family of foxes and some badgers living there so there are plenty of holes for a cat to wander in to.

Thanks for the advice. Millie was returned to us by a kind neighbour in a very sorry state after five days of wandering Baxter's field (we think). She was recovering and settling nicely, but sadly she died unexpectedly last Thursday, whilst asleep in the garden.
