Do we really need a 3rd chippy? The cafe in the bottle neck has converted. 3 chippys, not one you can legally park outside. Great 'takeaway' thinking

Too remote. The existing chippy's have the "chippy market" sewn up

As both the existing chippiez are crap, I'd welcome another choice, hopefully where they use fresh not frozen fish.

Good chippy in Ringmer. And you can park right outside.

I visited the Ringmer chippy about a year ago. I fancied a bit of fish (no chips) for lunch.
£6.50. I walked out; and paid £2.50 for an excellent pie in Jack&Jills instead. I can get fish AND chips for a fiver in Lewes.

Ringmer is expensive, but if you want decent fish and chips locally then there is no other option. South Street has gone to the dogs since it changed hands. Fisher Street is no better. There are very good ones in Brighton if one doesn't mind a drive.

Hi, what sort of jobs need doing, perhaps some chips in the skirting board or the doors are battered or maybe the window frames are out of plaice. I can get these salted for you, I am the sole worker and that's no codswallop. Just drop me a line.

'We don't need another chippy'... wasn't that a Tina Turner song?
I've had some 'interesting' fish and chips in the area over the years. Had a right bust-up in a Brighton restaurant... I complained that my fish hadn't been cooked properly.
They got really snotty and said 'How did I know?' And I said 'Because its just eaten one of my chips!'
I'll get my coat.

I have checked out the chippy in the Bottleneck: they cook to order, and seem to cost similar to the others. I will report back when I have sampled.
