Annual Town Meeting Wednesday 20 April

The Annual Town Meeting will be held in the Town Hall at 8pm on Wednesday 20 April. There are plenty of critical issues facing the Town including a review of the parking scheme, green issues like recycling and energy generation, planning under the new National Park or the future of the Victoria Hospital. It is also an opportunity to question town councillors about how the town has been administered over the past year. Anyone of any political persuasion - or none - who is interested in the future of Lewes in an election year should come along and have their say.

John, can the Town Council update their website with this information? I haven't seen much other promotion for this meeting. The Town Council should get into the habit of Tweeting and Facebooking and using all manner of local e-forum. Was this meeting advertised in the recent Express? More importantly, will the public be allowed to debate with councilors? Cheers
