An Anne McLaughlin is an SNP politician, formally MSP for Glasgow until 2011. She appears not to have updated her website since then but there's nothing on there to suggest a complete lack of sense of humour or rabid anti-free speech sentiment so could just be a conincidence.

Interesting observation if it is her though, she managed to become an MSP for two years without anyone actually voting for her when the previous MSP died mid-term and her name was next on the regional list. She held the post until the election in 2011 when she lost out to the Labour party.

Silly woman. Posting things before finding out all the facts. Not a good characteristic for a politician.

Why would any society waste their time pandering to the ego of a failed politician nobody has previously ever heard of? The best anyone can hope for is that she gets arrested for wasting police time and, given the kind of threats received by WBS members and Webbo, incitement to racial hatred.

It's spelt Anne McLaughlin. Look her up. Total airhead comments. On twitter she's @AnneMcLaughlin saying things like 'oh it's even worse to burn the Pope!' as though it's today's one.

She's made herself, and the whole of "the 45" look intolerant which is ironic really. This article in a Scottish newspaper sums it up nicely: "However one feels about the notion of burning effigies in this day and age, the Lewes festival's pillorying of politicians is part of the tradition in these islands of free speech and political satire; something too precious to be suppressed by the moral outrage of the oversensitive."
