I`m listening to Animals by Pink Floyd and think that it is one of the best albums of all time. A bold statement maybe, but can you think of anything better?

Big lover of The final cut, a very emotive album.

Love Animals, a much overlooked Floyd classic. Arguably their last truly great, well rounded album. Never been a big fan of The Final Cut, more of a Waters solo project made up of bits that never made it onto The Wall. Personal favourite has to be Wish You Were Here.

Yes,they declined fast after this with Waters increasing self pity and whining about his childhood and Gilmour repeating himself. Glad they got together again in the end (if briefly.) Sad about Rick who was always a bit under appreciated. They will always be remembered for Dark Side but Animals and Wish were also them at their peak,I also love the early Syd stuff but my wife can't stand it!

I saw Roger Waters perform in France a few years ago with Nick Mason. They did Darkside in its entirety and cracking versions of Animals and Set The Controls. There was a thunderstorm rolling around for most of the performance and some very heavy rain too. The laser show and sound was phenomenal. Roger's son also played keyboards that night. I was moved almost to tears by Gilmour's silvery playing at the Live 8 reunion gig, breathtaking guitar work.

Wish was played at the funeral I went to last week. Part of a great send off.

Epic, beautiful, my favourite Floyd album.
That run of four consecutive brilliant albums - DSOTM, WYWH, Animals & The Wall is virtually unmatched.

Indulge yourselves on Comfortably Numb from Delicate Sound of Thunder. I listened to this so many times in the 90's and never ever tired of it or the effect it has on me.

I listened to Animals for many years growing up before I realised what it was about! Beneficial herbs also clouded my judgement during these times

Flying Pig - totally agree, a run of musical excellence. I'd also tack on Meddle to the front of that run with the epic 'Echoes'

They can do no wong. Meddle - The Wall were the best in my view. Tailed off after that with occasional flashes of brilliance. But the sound. Coming out in goose bumps as as I think of it. One of these days! Sheep! Eclipse! Wish you were Here! CN! One of these days! Dave Gilmours guitar playing was utterly brilliant. Ahhh, those were the days. Went to see RW doing The Wall at the O2 a couple of years back. Excellent as well but missed Dave.

DSOTM for me. It becomes more true as the years go by.

Just read that Storm Thorgeson is dead. What would the Floyd's albums have been like without him. Iconic
