I have an integrated stereo amplifier that has given up the ghost. It's a rather nice (if you like that sort of thing) Aura 150w amp. Does anyone know anyone who could have a go at fixing it? They don't make these anymore so given lack of available parts, it may present a challenge. Any ideas? Ta muchly.

Try Peter at Audiofix. He's very old school and a little on the eccetric side but if he can't fix it no-one can.

Hi Starboard List I suppose you have looked at the internal fuse? They have a habit of blowing. Hope you get the problem solved.
Hi Simon,
Peter from Audiofix is sound advice (excuse the pun)
I could do with Peter adjusting the Bias on my Fender Twin 2x12 130w Amp.
I have to buy some valves for it as one of the power valves has blown, which is fine but I might need help in setting the Bias.
I'm in central Lewes and getting the Amp to Brighton could be tricky (Heavy is an understatement) I will try but these days I'm feeble and weak.

Hello Judge, I know that there is a lot of talk about adjusting bias and whether it is necessary or not depending on the class of amp. Most of it goes over my head i'm afraid. I get my valves from Watford Valves. They have it all.
Good service too. Cheers

Have a look at my website its still under construction but it will give you some Idea,
my workshop is in Lewes but this is a temp arrangment until I have my purpose built workshop finished at home.
Oh and Bias is very important on both Tube and solid state Amps, if it not adjusted correctly the amp of tubes will fail !
