My neighbour has done all his Christmas shopping on line it would seem. He works all week so is never in during the day. A continuous pile of parcels adorns my hallway which is p/ssing me off now. He never comes to get them, just waits until I pop them round. We don't get on anyway as he is really inconsiderate and noisy. Shall I just hold them till Boxing day, put them out in the rain or put a sign on the door telling the delivery men not to bother me?

You haven't got mine as well have you Grump? I've had 3 parcels go missing on delivery day. Luckily not presents so I can just cancel and go elsewhere.

Mine arrived a day early (nice), but the packaging damaged and opened (not nice). Luckily contents OK.

In the good old days people were happy to do favours for neighbours. None of us is perfect and we all do things that wind other people up.

If you inconvenience him you're just as bad as him. Rise above it and be a good person.

Pop a card through his door when he is out which says you have a parcel. Do it every day - one at a time. Or just let him figure it out for himself, he should have had a card from Amazon. It's right to take them in but he should have been round to collect them.

It was happening to us several times a day. Knocking on our door all the time. They never came round to check to see anything arrived. We always had to make the effort to gather all the parcels and deliver them to her. We have now put a stop to it all. We told each delivery man we will not take them in anymore.

He is currently doing diy (hammering and sawing) so I have decided to keep the parcels. I will eBay the lot in the new year

If taken in parcels for my neighbour every day so far this week. I’ve taken them to him each evening too. I don’t consider opening the front door or walking to the next house a major inconvenience. Glad that some of the miserable people on here don’t live near me.

I do not understand people who get upset about parcels in any way shape or form. They are parcels, they do not hurt you and they really do not inconvenience you in any way. I would recommend a stress workshop if this is what you have to concern yourself with.
