Did anyone see Alien at the Depot? What was different about the screening compared to a normal movie?

It was preceded by a talk from an astronomer at Sussex University. He pointed out that when the film was made in 1979, we had only discovered nine planets. Today, we know about more than 3,500! It was interesting, but for me the main attraction was the chance to see a classic film on the big screen. No matter how many times you've watched a video or DVD, there's nothing like seeing a movie the way it was meant to be seen.

The screening was sold out and the Depot was packed that night. In fact most nights I've been past it's been pretty much heaving. I was worried that the Depot might not succeed but my fears were misplaced. It's a roaring success. Oh, and I saw Three Billboards Outside Ebbing last night. What a great film that was. And the OH and I are going to see Spielberg's The Post next week. The Depot is turning me into a film buff. :-)
