There was a very weird piece on BBC Breakfast this morning. A report on the efficiency of the East Midlands Ambulance Service and how they manage to provide a great service without receiving any extra funding. No obvious rationale for this story. It was just popped in entirely randomly. Methinks that a campaign is planned to soften us all up. May was in New York yesterday promising massive cuts to Corporation Tax.

That's the plan. Leave EU before they implement legislation against tax havens (we love BVI, Isle of Man etc).

Then a bonfire of regulations and lowering of corp tax to maximise profits for shareholders and executives. Under the guise of making Britain "attractive to business" when actually it will just be corporate profits being moved across borders, not the actual business and jobs coming here.

Literally the goal of the European Research Group (the lot headed by Jacob Rees-Mogg)

Classic bait and switch. All brexiter politicians talked about options, swiss models, canada models etc. Now however anything but a full hard brexit is against the will of the people according to them.

Companies need low corporation tax so they can afford the extortionate employment add on costs for staff, the major obstacle to employing more staff. And of course, excessive business rates. It's all swings and roundabouts. No knee jerk reactions please.

The point of the planned drop in corporation tax is to try and persuade the Apples and Googles of the world to base themselves in the UK rather than Ireland or Luxembourg hardly the kind of businesses that are worried about their bottom line and the whole thing will fail once Luxembourg drop their own tax rates accordingly, seeing as how they're a tiny country with very little in the way of government spending.

Extortionate add on employment costs. What a joke. Our unemployment is at all time low so where is the difficulty in employing people?

What costs are we adding on to minimum wages that peopl can’t live off? A 3% pensions contribution? National insurance?
