I have just read of a the Afghan women Robina Jalali who is attempting to get elected in Kabul, in the Afghanistan elections along with other women. She is receiving daily threats of death as are other committed women involved in the campaigning. The courage and committment of such ladies deserves the very highest admiration, I think it quite incredible that in a country where a father can decide whether a daughter shall receive education or not, where in so many other areas women have little or no rights, such bravery exists. I hope that bravery is rewarded but mostly I truly hope she survives.

Completely agree with you. All praise to her - and good wishes. However, has anyone any hopes that this will be a fair election?
