Aerial problems

I know we've been here before so I apologise for asking again (can't find the answer in the old posts) but I need a reliable aerial expert to sort out my aerials. Mine is pointing at the Newhaven transmitter & living in the Winterbourne area I need it turning towards Heathfield. I also appear to have a spare up there which must have wires for connecting & that faces Heathfield. All a bit complicated really, sorry to be a bore. Can anyone recommend someone to sort it all out? my daughter is driving me mad over the fact she is going to lose her signal in her bedroom in the next week.

I live in Winterbourne Close and get my signal from County Hall so don't know if you'll get signal from Heathfield but I recommend Cyril Ireland from Newhaven who has done work for me and my neighbours. He is honest and will do an excellent job. His mobile is 07714 914 596.

He's also very expensive! Get a quote before he gets up on the roof.

I think I'm right in saying that the county hall signal is the booster from Heathfield. My budget is limited so any other reliable experts that anyone knows of would be appreciated or if anyone else used Cyril from Newhaven & had no issue with his prices I would like their opinions

I don't agree, Referee. Cyril put in my satellite system. He charged nearly £100 less than the nearest quote from a corporate installer and happily returned to sort me out with little niggles (caused by me, I should say, and not his installation) on two separate occasions for no extra charge. I have since recommended him to my friends who have been similarly impressed.

I must emphasise that I have business connection with Cyril Ireland at all but I agree with SQ above that he is very competitive on cost, he is 'one man band' and has been involved in the business for years, if you get a problem you can be sure he will sort it.

Only bbc 2 will be lost as from tommorow on analogue ,the remaining stations will disappear on june 13th ,when freeview stations would become available approx 18+ stations on the newhaven transmitter. if you have a tv with builtin freeview you will just have to retune .if not you could purchase a cheap freeview box from argos etc and just plug in via scart and tune with no need for moving the aerial. Having been in touch with freeview uk it will be possible to recieve more channels from other main transmitters depending on your location ,hope this helps fell free to call me cyril ireland.(07714 914 596)

Thanks for all the advice. We will wait & see if we can tune her Freeview box after the 13th June if they have boosted the signal we may be in luck. Otherwise I will give Cyril a call & see if he can change us to the Heathfield transmitter as I am aware that my neighbours get Freeview from there.
