I am looking to introduce my young nephew to fishing (I have taken him once before to Piltdown) so need to go somewhere suitable for him to practice and learn in the area. I would like to take him to Barcombe (agricultural) Reservoir but I dont know where I can get a day ticket from? How much is a day ticket? Obviously there are some good places by the Mills too... Probably do float fishing.
Also - other than Pike, what other fish might I catch with a spinner in these waters? (I am still learning myself!)

Use google to search for Rod & Line Licence and it will bring up the website which should hopefully give you some advice. If your nephew is over 12 he will need a junior rod & line licence which costs a fiver. Hope this helps.

I havnt been for ages but obviously you need a rod licence first anyway (if you havnt already) which u get from the post office. Percys fishing shop in lewes opposite woolworths should do 1 day fishing permits around the Lewes area and they will advise you on good locations.

Hi james, have you tried swanborough just past Wyevale Garden centre? 10.00 for a day ticket and it is good fishing. My other half goes there or there is Tanyards Fishery day ticket or Framfield also day ticket. But you will still need a rod licence. All very nice and quiet and close. Best of luck xx

i hope you get more from percey than most !! im a very keen angler so i hope what i say is going to help.
1/ places to fish you have framfield @ 7.00 per day( very easy fishing), tanyards at danehill @ 9.00 per rod per day, swanborough @10.00 per day. horam monor fishery bargin @ 5.00 a day very good for beginers. If you phone up the enviromet agencey and ask for a book on where to fish in england for a price of 5.00 it tells you all the venues and prices. TIGHT LINES LADS
