Oh dear! Truth,I agree but,he has to be willing to take the help. Shame sentence overturned as in prison he would have no access to alcohol.

From the report I read his behaviour on the train just can't be put down to a drink problem. Not content at trying to inappropriately grope a women, when she moved to another carriage he purposely followed her and tried to kiss her.
May be prison is not the answer but he needs to be under curfew and banned from public transport etc. Also he is hardly a first offender.
I am all for rehabilitation and reforming offenders. For some crimes offenders could serve punishments/rehabilitation at weekends etc so they can still work and support themselves and their families during the week or be made to to voluntary work that makes them see the consequences of their crimes etc. But none of these schemes appear to be appropriate for the likes of Adam Richards who due to the influence of drink or otherwise is determined to be a pariah on society.

52 previous convictions for 90 offences! The poor chap needs help. Forget about the girl living in fear. Let's be progressive and buy him a Christmas present, perhaps a massage parlour voucher and a few brews. Phew I'm starting to realize what the term libtard really means.

From my experience working in the system, prison doesn't work for long term repeat offenders, but it does at least keep them off the streets. Adam Richards has serious mental and substance abuse problems going back a long time. He needs to be dried out and given rehabilitation treatment, but that sort of care is something The Priory Clinic might do for rock stars, but the state won't pay for it, so the situation will drag on until his body finally packs in. As for the police, they're stretched to the limit already. It's a sad situation and we have the worst of both worlds.

Seriously, how does this get overturned. It has been going on for at least 18 years and yet his convictions get overturned? Ridiculous
