Wedding anniversary? Cut out the middle man and spend your money on a divorce, not a hotel/B&B!

On a more helpful note, Shelley's is probsbly the best hotel in town. Never stayed there myself, 'cos I live here so no need, but my mum has. And it is good, apparently.

The White Hart is ok, but a little scruffy and there is also Pelham House, which has a good restaurant but thats all I know about it.

the shellys is very good or you could bring a caravan to town and do a DIY and ESCC can pay for you (joking). Hope you have a good time where ever you choose

Avoid The White Hart like the plauge. Check out Tripadvisor for some 'interesting' comments by those unlucky enough to have suffered a night in the godforsaken place.

Pelham House or Pelham House. Both excellent.

Emma,
Apologies for being cynical - couldn't resist!
Pelham House is supposed to be "top notch" and is very central yet tucked away in a quiet lane off the High Street (St Andrews Lane).

Best B&B is Angela Wigglesworth's at 4 Castle Banks. Nice friendly place just behind the Castle and handy for the Lewes Arms and the Elephant & Castle.
