At the risk of making everyone on this forum fed up by posting another bonfire night post, I really want to ask a question!
I want to find a family friendly bonfire/fireworks night to take my 5 year old to. That means not too chaotic, somewhere with parking and a fairly early firework display.
Pre-children I always went to Lewes on the 5th but I would definitely not take my young child there, as fantastic and brilliant as it is, it is not small child friendly.
So please can anyone advise on where I could go instead? Would Newick or Firle be suitable? Or any other ideas? And how can I find out what dates the village nights are on? I've googles of course, but can't seem to get any info on them.
Many thanks!x

South Heighton is good for children. Otherwise you've just missed Nevill which is the best night outside the 5th, and aimed at children and families.

Isfield kicks off at 530 tomorrow and should be finished by 9. Newick on Saturday is excellent too, from 630, can be quite loud though. Otherwise Chailey on the 12th is very family friendly and again is finished early. Not sure on times though. Again would assume about 5. Barcombe is excellent too but not on this year..

Whatever you do chuck some money in the pot if you enjoy it... it gets harder every year to put these things on.. evidenced by Barcombe having a year out. Hope you enjoy wherever you go and the kids get the bug too!

Firle tonight - free parking and. £5 fireside entry fee, due to village size it is a short wait between the processions, there is food and drink that isn't at rip off prices and the site is well laid out so kids as well as adults can enjoy it
