Does anyone know when the A27 is closed on the 22/03? And what side?

No idea, but definitely worth checking. n Tuesday there wasn't proper signage, so drivers trying to get on at the Patcham junction were being directed to go westbound. o idea where that went, i used a rout through via Ditchling Rd.

So just to confirm, based on the map the closure is heading to Lewes (eastbound)

According to the map,
Resurfacing work will close the A27 eastbound from 8pm on Sunday, March 17 until 6am on Friday, March 22. The road will close from 8pm to 6am each night.
and
"Roadworks will close the A27 westbound from 8pm-6am on Friday, March 22 and during the same time periods on Monday, March 25 until Wednesday, March 27."
The way I read it is, on 22/03 the Lewes to Brighton part of the A27 is closed Eastbound (ie Brighton to Lewes) until 6am and Westbound (ie Lewes to Brighton) from 8pm.

it's crap signage no one knows where to go and for the resurfacing that's a proper joke unless it's in a tin of white paint as all they have done is line painting from Falmer to Ashcoombe Roundabout, but knowing the Highways Agency they will probably wait until the new white lines have tried then rip it up.
Oh and a few new cats eyes at the roundabout at ashcoombe.
Joke

Heading south on the A23 in the dead of night earlier this week I was forced to go into the centre of Brighton and then along the coast road to Newhaven (a soul destroying route if ever there was one) before heading up on the A26 and rejoining the A27 at Beddingham.
If road closures are still in place anyone coming from London on the A23 should take the Hassocks/Hurstpierpoint exit and head to Lewes via Ditchling and Plumpton. I wish I had.

What a joke, husband just called, no signage, no idea how to get from Brighton to Lewes, now has to go down to seafront and along. WHAT A TOTAL JOKE

this is the sort of thing that Councillors should be telling Officers to avoid. It is truly ridiculous. we all appreciate that the road needs repairs, and alternative A roads need to be used, but as others have the said , the signage is absolutely appalling, with no indication of where you are being sent. To go to Lewes through Brighton via Newhaven is ridiculous, and if I had known that was what was being suggested would have gone via Ditchling.

We had this problem on wednesday evening. Driving over from Rottingdean, get to the falmer and road closed. No diversion signs what so ever. No signage at Lewes to pre warn you either. We ended up going back to Lewes via Ditchling. A total disgrace. Apparently buses are still able to use the road! Took us nearly an hour to get home. Surely not really acceptable
