I hear they're going to stop it by the 22nd October and that they've been working overnight to get it done. Could it be true?? I can't find any information to back it up online...

Whilst on the subject of the A27, I pop into the filling station down there as I was in the jam and low on fuel. Could not believe it, 1.19.4ltr, when I mentioned that the price was rather high the stupid person on the till tried to justify it by saying (unbelievably) "We're a private garage". A couple of miles further on it was 1.14ltr in another small independent garage, which at 5 ltrs to the gallon makes it 27p less per gallon.

Yup I heard that too Hay Nonnie Mouse. Heart FM had it as headline news =D Norman Baker was saying how there had been so many complaints that something needed to be done so they are working 24 hours to get it done by the end of next week and then any other work they had planned is postponed indefintely! I am keeping my fingers well crossed that this is true!

Calm down Thread Bear!
To enlighten you on the subject, there have been roadworks surrounding the Kingston roundabout for the last three weeks causing long delays from any direction. It is all supposed to be for a new safety barrier. So they are stopping the roadworks, not the A27 itself. This, =D, is a smiley face I apologise for not using the "smilies" provided.
I thought the post was pretty clear myself, I stand corrected.
Perhaps any future posts I make I should send to you beforehand to ensure they are not "garbage".
What do you think ????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Thread Bear, Obviously if you don't know what I'm talking about, then it isn't aimed at you. Most of the population know what I am talking about, if they have been out of Lewes in the last couple of weeks, since most have been caught up in the monstrous roadworks. This is an update to an earlier thread, with the same title. Perhaps you don't get out too often, and only read threads which are written in perfect English or which apply to you. You seem a little suprised about it all. So get back in your box, this is a place where people who don't have a lot of time often use abreviations or emoticons and sometimes don't spell it out for the thick or sheltered Sorry.
