More than 63 years of service from HRH Queen Elizabeth II tomorrow. I am sure we can all agree this is a most wonderful feat from a most wonderful monarch. Are there any events planned to celebrate this in Lewes?

63 years of having to attend cup finals, Royal Variety performances and make small talk at countless dull civic opening ceremonies. A bit more than waving @Clifford.
Whatever you think of the institution of monarchy, she's worked hard, never let the side down and hasn't been allowed to retire. The Queen is a hostage of fortune - wealthy, but certainly made to sign for her supper. I think that whatever your standpoint is, you should acknowledge that she's tried hard to do her duty.

The Queen has more than done her duty to this country. She is a unifying and stabilising figure which distinguishes us and is the envy of many other countries. She has never abused her position to the contrary, set good example. Republicanism is not all despite the cold logic. The longest reign is an immensely historic occasion and I am sure from whatever position we can agree on her immense contribution to the unity of this country and her service
