So what are you going to do with your newly restored sovereignty Nancy? Which laws are you particularly looking forward to seeing abolished?

I'm looking forward to not being part of the Barosso-Verhofstadt empire, the one where the lobbyists for the banks and the big corporations pull the strings. Capitalism is bad enough here, but at least there is the possibility of getting to grips with the capitalists - in the superstate, no chance at all.

Basil dives the question YET again, like so many of those in the Brexit cult. You couldn't even be bothered to make something up with some sort of crap about ending the EU laws on stomping on grapes or bendy bananas.

Its always some rehashed shady central banking trope, often with some anti-semitic undertones. Many Brexiters have just become tin-foil hat conspiracy theorists. Go knock yourself out and read some made-up rubbish about the Lisbon Treaty.

I completely disagree with you basil. I'm sure you remember the fuss a few years ago about ttip that was essentially about reducing barriers to big business controlling more of our lives. The EU was the reason that was rejected. Without it we will have no choice but to enter this kind of agreement with the US. We will be over a barrel. I understand your view that the EU has not lead to the international socialism that you think is desirable but I have no doubt that capitalism will be even less controlled when we leave. The rich will be richer and the poor will be poorer.

Why do you think all thenewspapers owned by moguls like Murdoch (Times, Sun, Fox), the Barclay Brothers (Telegraph) , Lord Rothermere (Daily Mail) etc are so keen on Brexit? You think it's because they want you to escape from capitalism? No, it's so that that can enjoy a completely unfettered capitalism with the EU trying to soften it with human rights and anti-tax fraud legislation. Populism is a trick by which the super-rich get the poor to agree to be even poorer.

Unless Johnson actually shows up with a deal that he can get through parliament (*dies laughing* - he's won *so* much support there over the last couple of days) or wants to go to prison he is compelled to ask for an extension. So very unlikely we'll be leaving on 31st Oct. Johnson only cares about furthering his own ambition, so I very much doubt he'll be up for doing time over this.
Likely he'll resign on some kind of "my hands were tied" BS and it will be whoever is in his place that will have to ask for the extension. He'll be the shortest serving and most unsuccessful PM of all time, which is a small gem of joy to take from this hellscape.

The general legal opinion is that if he does that, he's breaking the law. If he sends another letter saying "I didn't mean it", he's breaking the law. The suggested date is January 2020, unless the EU propose a different date then he has to accept it, unless the commons vote it down

So you think that by Leaving the EU Britain will be able to 'get to grips' with the Capitalists??
It is im afraid a factual reality that leaving the EU will allow unfettered capitalism access to the very heart of our country.
Unfettered Capitalism knows no borders and cares nothing for your culture, Children and your society.
Make no mistake it's already here but is reigned in by the EU to some small degree.
Im assuming Basil that you consider yourself a Patriot?
If so, and if you want Britain to have an identity then at the moment, Remaining in the EU is your best option.
We could leave in the future, no one says we cant but lets do it with Peace and all our best interests in mind.
Currently, leaving the EU only serves the interests of ruthless venture Capitalists, under-educated bigots, far right politicians and America.
I hope you like your chicken Chlorinated

The problem isn't the chlorine itself, it's the fact that the animal welfare standards are so much lower that chlorine is needed to attempt to make the food safe. And it doesn't really work, hence a vastly higher incidence of food poisoning per head than the UK/EU.
