Having a good old moan here about Virgin ripping up all our pavements I hope the same degree of rant is to be applied to similar gas pipe works underway...
Landport road is an inch deep with mud and stones and every corner torn to a muddy heap - am getting fed up with filthy shoes, trousers and car.
These cowboys should be obliged to clean their mess up - am not enjoying living in a constant building site.

Having had Virgin messing up the streets less than a year ago, the Nevill is due to have the gas mains dug up early in the New Year.
The noise and the mess is dreadful, and the reinstatement leaves a lot to be desired.
I totally get that these things need to be done (well, maybe not Virgin - hardly an essential service imo), but surely they could be planned better and made to put the roads and pavements back in better order.

And I've lost count of how many times someone has been digging up Malling Street, creating tailbacks in every direction.

The only ones who haven’t been digging up Malling Street recently are Virgin Media who still haven’t connected up Malling

Earl of Lewess not surprised I was digging the blasted road up back in the 1970's but the only reason Virgin is doing it is because people want their over priced over hyped and over rated services.

What’s even more irritating is the fact that stacks of the Virgin cabling (about 6” down) is seriously disturbed by the Gas works (about 4’ down) - often left hanging for days over the gas works’ holes
