The Technique helps you become aware of unconscious habitual patterns of behaviour that might cause stress and pain. You will learn to do things with a minimum of effort and tension. You will enjoy increased physical and mental well-being.
People use the Alexander Technique to improve performance and prevent injury in music, drama and sport. The technique also helps increase confidence and develop ease and lightness in movement.
What makes the Alexander Technique unique is that it can be applied to any activity, mental or physical. It can be applied to mundane everyday activities (chopping carrots, driving, walking) or to academic work and interpersonal activities.
I am a member of STAT, the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique and have successfully completed a three-year training on a course recognised by the Society. I have professional indemnity insurance and am subject to a Code of Professional Conduct.
