I'd like it to be the Snowdrop. I was there with a mate of mine over from Hove yesterday afternoon. His first time at the Snowdrop and he said he'll certainly be going back. Best pub in Lewes as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed. The Snowdrop is a great pub, and has a decent selection of meat-free dishes as well. Can't remember seeing so many colourful flowers though outside (as in the pic), but haven't been on a sunny day their since last summer!

With so much praise on here for the Snowdrop, it's a shame it's getting sold to developers for houses really.

The Snowdrop is not currently for sale and it's not going to be sold to developers. However, the new business rate valuation, if not radically altered, will put the viability of the business into question, along with a large proportion of other pubs in Lewes once any provisional relief is removed.

The business rate valuation is ridiculous - it's as if they want all pubs to go out now business. How can they justify rate increases of 400% or more?
