Fancy joining a local crowd to bash a drum at various Summer Fetes, charity fundraisers or Sussex Bonfire events?
The band rehearses locally every week and covers a wide age range - no experience necessary and all equipment abailable to allow a few taster sessions at no expense.

You sir are both predictable and " _ _ _" I can't really be bothered to fill the gap.

Can you set fire to said drum and throw it at someone??
If not then you are unlikely to get much interest

Actually I get fed up of the drummers turning up to every Lewes outdoor event and rendering it ear-shattering. Guys - we don't like it as much as you do.... maybe just for ten minutes? Please?

Explain all the bookings we get then?
And repeat bookings?
And we don't appear at every event
And other drumming bands are available to abuse
Why don't some of you get off your arses and try and do something for the community you sad keyboard warriors

Once a year is fine but I have no desire to hear this rather basic percussion at any other event. Children can master paradiddles without too much trouble so its not that impressive.

I must say that having to listen to those bl******y Cliffe Tub thumpers at any time of day or night does my head in. It's akin to going past a primary school doing recorder practise with the windows open. it's just wrong on so many levels.

No offence Lopster, but just because you own a drum, doesn't mean you can play it. There are no actual drummers in the band as far as you can tell, and it's the same old dreary plodding beat every time. Imagine Adam and the Ants played by a disinterested eight year old. Put some energy and interest (twiddly bits to you) into it and you might just gain a few more fans.

It's just a DFL thang - not just London, any major urban conurbation. Delivered by a bunch of 'baters.

If you e enjoy a bit of drumming then check out " Drum battles" on YouTube. US marines and Koreans is one of the best. Try harder ( preferably in private.)

I'd rather hear Battling Banjos and be chased in the woods than listen to glorified jungle drumming.

Why do you do it Lopster? Why do you seriously bother posting on here about the tub thumpers? There's a small group who hate them, it wouldn't matter if there were naked whores tied to the drums, they would still hate them. I see there's a few bitter ex band members on here too....eh Ginger? get a f*****g life pal.

Just google the name, and the group "Cream" you bellends. I simply picked the name as an ironic device.

A lot of bands are probably more fun to be in than listen to. My heart sinks when my friends get their guitars out and start jamming, expecting us to listen in silence. But taking part in anything musical is good for your mental and physical health, so I'm very tempted to join.

It's not musical though Earl of Lewess, that's the problem.

Ok ,Ginger defined the drum solo, but even a brilliant drummer didn't appeal to everyone buying P.R. vinyl back then. It was a real hassle having to lift my tonearm off while chilling with my bong.
