Newhaven Bowling Club Open Day & Try It Out Sessions @ Newhaven Bowling Club

Every Saturday from May till the season in September you can come along and try bowls every Saturday morning from 10.00am at your local friendly club with the best kept green in the area.

Our Open Morning is on May 12th.

Come down to see the game in action and have a go yourself.

Our qualified coach, Janet is on hand to help all ages and all abilities from beginners to experienced players.

Juniors can come down from 10am.

Adults can join us from 10am to view the facilities and then have a go from 11.45am (11am on Open Day)

Taster sessions are FREE. Whatever the weather, if you're interested come down to the club to register your interest. Please bring flat shoes, all other equipment is provided. We can be found at in Fort Road, near to the cricket and football grounds.

Junior Club members learn the skills of the game in a fun and friendly environment, mixing up the traditional game with skills sessions and target bowls. Many of our Juniors have gone on to play for the main club and also represent the county of Sussex + won other honours. Sessions are £1 per week.

Force Basketball Lewes @ Lewes Leisure Centre
Force Basketball Lewes - open session for U12s (ages 8-12yrs)
Sat 3rd FEB session is cancelled, we are back on the 10th Feb, 24th (not 17th) and then March 3/10/17/31 (not 24th)

Basketball is a great sport for all ages, fun fitness in a team environment.

We have sessions for all age groups, including adults - see our website for the full timetable. www.forcebasketball.co.uk

Our new Saturday morning sessions at Lewes will develop skills, with drills, games and coaching for all abilities.

Some of the players will want to progress into the Force Squads, and we will ensure that they are encouraged to have fun, keep fit and work hard. We plan to enter Force squads into the league for 2018/9 season and this will be a great opportunity to compete in an exciting environment.

Our first Lewes session on 27 Jan at 10.30-11.30 is free of charge, from Feb 3rd onwards the cost is £3 per session.

Zentangle - Mindful drawing introductory class @ Ringmer
The Zentangle method is an easy to learn, relaxing and fun way of creating beautiful images from structured patterns. If you can hold a pen you can do this as no previous artistic experience is required, though artists are also welcome. Small group. Price includes drawing kit.

An exhibition of Christian inspired art on the theme of Saints and Angels. Ann Darcy Hughes, Alison Milner Gulland, Kathy Dawson and others have produced wonderful paintings for this special exhibition. Open Saturdays and Sundays

Youth Theatre - Kaleidoscope @ Priory School
Kaleidoscope's Youth Theatre is a friendly, well established group. The weekly classes include improvisations, script work and drama games.

Students learn new skills, develop their confidence and make new friends with other young people who are passionate about drama. The sessions are taught by a professional theatre director and there are plenty of opportunities to perform in shows and take Drama Exams.
