LewesFootballover35s is for all abilities! It costs £5 a go and is held at the new 3G Pitch behind Lewes FC's ground every Friday at 2000.
What's it all about?
It aims to provide an opportunity for everyone in Lewes and the surrounding areas to play the beautiful game, regardless of ability, and with no upper age limit. This platform hopes to play a part in improving well-being through active participation in sports, social interaction and fun.
Aiming to improve fitness levels and skills through actual play, the needs and requirements of the participants are always paramount. Whether you want to start playing for the first time or pick it up again, meet new people or come with a group of friends, are well-versed in the Cruyff Turn or have been known to stumble over the ball; everyone is welcome.
The love of the game and fun take centre stage, winning really is not everything. The flexible, open sessions in a friendly atmosphere start at 8 pm on Friday evenings and last approximately two hours. Depending on the number of players, the format of the games is either 5-a-side, 7-a-side or 11-a-side, on corresponding pitch sizes.
You can dip in and out as other commitments allow. The money raised in addition to covering costs goes back into the Lewes FC Community Programme. The games are played on the Lewes FC’s Rookery All-weather 3G pitch behind The Dripping Pan, Mountfield Road, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 2XA.
Please note, we recommend boots specially designed for 3-G pitches. Boots with metal studs are not allowed.
PS This is for men and women-if you've never played before, call Pete and he can arrange a stress free introduction......
