This is a practical, hands on 6 session extended course held fortnightly (excluding school holidays) at the home of A.S APOTHECARY, on an 80 acre organic farm in Plumpton just outside Lewes. A creative grounding knowledge of gardening skills from seed to harvest with scent as the guide.

Wildlife Watch is for 5-8 year olds with accompanying adults
Bring your children along to help them explore the natural world. This will involve getting to know the forest school site and the fire circle, woodcraft activities, stories, games and lots more!

Each week will have a different theme based in a special forest school site. Children will learn to become confident in an outdoor setting, learn basic woodcraft skills and explore their natural surroundings with storytelling, games and lots of outdoor activities. It’ll provide a great opportunity for you and your little ones to have fun in the natural environment and will aim to encourage an early interest in wildlife. Drink, snack and plenty of mud provided!

Join us for our third annual FREE Hugs event to embrace the spirit of National Hugging Day which was established by an american pastor in California in 1986 to help break down social barriers .
We do it to raise awareness of the powerful benefits a simple 20 second hug has on our health and happiness.
Come along to receive a hug from one of our 'Hugging Champions' or to donate one of your awesome hugs to residents of and visitors to Lewes.

From 13th May until the end of the season in September, Newhaven Bowling Club will he holding free weekly taster sessions. On our open day on the 13th Juniors can come down from 10am and adults can come down to view the facilities from 10am and get on the green from 11am. From 20th May adults can come down at 11.30am.
The local friendly club has an active social membership, plays matches with other clubs and has hotly contested club competitions. The green is one of the best kept in the area. At the taster sessions our qualified coach, Janet will be on hand to help all ages and all abilities from beginners to experienced players.
All sessions are FREE. Whatever the weather, we ask anyone who is interested to contact us or visit the club to register your interest. Bring flat shoes but all other equipment is provided. The club can be found at in Fort Road, near to the cricket and football grounds.
